Hello, I'm John Glynn, I speak two languages: Body and English. One of three children, I was raised in Cong, County
Mayo, a small town in the west of Ireland. For my undergraduate studies, I attended Sligo Institute of Technology,
a college not too far from my hometown, all before completing my MA and Ph.D. in the United Kingdom.
As a teacher, I enjoy covering areas like pronunciation, listening/speaking, writing skills and, wait for it,
grammar. Yes, even grammar. English poses some interesting, vaguely comical questions. For example, in what other
language can people drive on a parkway and park in a driveway? Have noses that run and feet that smell?
Previously, before arriving in Poland, I was a lecturer in Vietnam. Prior to my Vietnamese experience, I worked on
the outskirts of Seoul, South Korea, teaching English. Encouragement, varied learning experiences, personal responsibility,
and a love of learning provide the foundation for beneficial learning, and my goal is to develop independent learners who
have a love of the English language. I am delighted to have the opportunity to teach in your beautiful country.
Thanks for reading.
